IN A FICTIONAL, TRADITION-BOUND SOCIETY, TWO BOYS FROM DIVIDED COMMUNITIES FORM A DANGEROUS FRIENDSHIP AFTER DISCOVERING A BURIED ARTIFACT, FORCING THEM TO CONFRONT THE HIDDEN HISTORY THAT KEEPS THEIR WORLD APART.

THE FILM

Common Ground is a quiet, powerful meditation on inherited conflict and the architecture of division. The film is set within a richly imagined, fictional society where two boys from divided communities form an unlikely and dangerous friendship. At the heart of the story, a buried artifact beneath their school becomes a potent symbol of historical erasure and the unspoken narratives that bind—and separate—their world.

Through this work, we seek to explore the nature of prejudice and mistrust: How do ideologies seep into the everyday, shaping glances and shared spaces? What is the cost of connection when one is forced to question the narratives they've inherited?

Common Ground is a film about the discomfort of the unsaid, exploring what it truly means to seek truth in a world built to keep it hidden.
