After his car breaks down on a highway, a young journalist ends up in a mysterious diner, where he looks for a phone to call for roadside assistance. There he discovers that the benevolent intentions of the diner's inhabitants are not as sincere as they seem.

Only a critical attitude towards traditions, institutions, and society contributes to personal development and, consequently, to the development of society.
In my view, all societies tend to suppress individuality, especially traditional or conservative ones. This happens on all levels—family, school, work. Having lived in such a society for over 20 years, I’ve experienced this firsthand. Long adherence to its norms prevented me from finding purpose in life and discovering myself. Only by breaking free from this pressure was I able to change my situation.
In my film, I explore this important topic for me through grotesque, metaphors, and surrealism.
Timur Gavrilenko is a passionate filmmaker and director of photography with diverse international experience. After working in NYC during high school and attending film school, he pioneered livegrading in Russia as the first livegrading DIT. Now based in New York City, Timur continues to create stunning visuals that complement powerful stories.

After 3 years of studies in a film school in France, he worked for the Cannes Film Festival for the 72nd edition before getting into production.
